Skyhigh Networks Selected as a 2014 SINET 16 Innovator

Skyhigh to present its award-winning cloud security solution at the showcase event in Washington, DC

CUPERTINO, Calif. — November 7, 2014 – Skyhigh Networks, the Cloud Visibility and Enablement Company, today announced the Security Innovation Network (SINET) Showcase steering committee has named Skyhigh a SINET 16 Innovator. As a member of this prestigious group, selected from a pool of 180 applicants worldwide, Skyhigh will present its award-winning cloud security solution to representatives from some of the world’s largest industry and government organizations at the SINET Showcase 2014 event in Washington, D.C.

“We are proud to be included as one of 16 innovative cybersecurity solution providers addressing the latest threats and vulnerabilities,” said Rajiv Gupta, CEO of Skyhigh Networks. “Skyhigh is unique in that it not only exposes and reduces the risk from ‘shadow IT,’ but it also allows IT to seamlessly enforce their security, compliance, and governance policies on ‘sanctioned IT’ and thereby enable the secure use of services such Salesforce, Box, Jive, ServiceNow, and Office 365.”

The SINET 16 Innovators chosen this year will present their technological solutions to representatives from venture capital, investment banking, system integration, academia, science, legal, policy, private industry, and the federal government, including civilian, intelligence, and military professionals.

Skyhigh Networks helped define the cloud access security broker (CASB) category and is the only solution provider with a range of products supporting the entire cloud adoption lifecycle of Discover, Analyze, and Secure.

Skyhigh Discover provides unparalleled visibility into the use of all cloud services within an organization and delivers an objective risk assessment (derived from over 50+ attributes for each service) to quickly identify data, business, and legal risks of these services.

Skyhigh Analyze leverages machine learning to highlight anomalous behavior that may indicate a security breach, compromised account; or insider threat; to identify opportunities for IT to enable employees by subscribing to specific cloud services; and to reduce risk and costs by consolidating and better managing subscriptions.

Finally, Skyhigh Secure enforces the organization’s policies on the use of cloud services via contextual access control, encrypting sensitive data with customer-managed keys, extending data loss prevention policies to data in the cloud, and providing a live log of all accesses and actions for audit and compliance purposes.

The SINET Showcase provides a platform to identify and highlight best-of-class security companies that are addressing industry and government’s most pressing needs and requirements. The Showcase event’s objective is to increase awareness of innovative solutions that may lead to an investment in, or the purchase of, advanced technologies that will help secure our nation’s critical infrastructure and command-and-control systems.
